Don't miss our annual neighborhood
potluck—Wednesday, September
15, 5:30 to 7:30, Friendly Grove Park!
Mission Creek Nature Park is a neighborhood gem with
old-growth fir trees, a salmon-capable stream, and unlimited opportunities to
connect with nature in the middle of our neighborhood. We hope you enjoy this unique resource in our
neighborhood and take a few minutes to learn more about how to keep it a clean and welcoming
place for everyone in our neighborhood.

park stewards
- Growing park stewards among our neighborhood kids is
gaining momentum. Neighbor Wendy Gerstel
and
Olympia
Parks
Department
employee
Jonathon
Turlove
offer
before-school excursions
into
Mission
Creek
to
Roosevelt
Elementary
students. Maria
Spivak and other parents of Reeves Middle School students are
teaching kids about invasive species in the park and how to help eradicate them.
A growing community on Facebook is also coming together to share ideas about
protecting and enjoying our park.
